What I have been spending my time on..

This summer has been spent with kids outside mostly AND we added 2 new members to our family. Meet Dante (Golden Retriever) and Sam (Cat). This is when we first got them and believe me, they both have grown so much already. Dante is pretty much house trained now. He was pretty easy, so far. They both play together and keep each other on their toes.

Now that school has started back (Yea!), I'm planning on getting back to my projects. My little guy (Thomas) start Kindergarten next week. So for the first time in a long time, I will be by myself during the day. What will I do? Well, I have alot of decluttering to do in the house, plus I want to get back to my many projects.

I haven't quilted in awhile, and I have quite a few things kitted up to do. So I want to get to those and get those done. Then I want to work on my stash a bit and use some of it up. This is so that I can not feel guilty when I see all of the new fabrics coming out and want them. I also have some cross stitch projects to get to, as well as a hooked rug that I started the beginning of this year. Not to mention the sweaters that I bought yarn for. I figure I might get half of the things done this school year. (fingers crossed)

I'm going to start my list of things to work on soon and can't wait to jump back in to my projects.

Dana...has your quilts arrived? I'm guessing not yet.

I love Sam and Dante! They are adorable and so fun that they can grow up together and be friends! Getting them at the same time was very smart for that reason! It is always sad when your "baby" goes off to school for the first time but shortly, you'll love that free time!!! Enjoy!

Cute babies. Dante looks about the size that my boy was when we adopted him at 7 weeks. Such a little cutie and now he is over 125#. Nothing little about him.
It seems hard to believe that Thomas is in K already. What grade is Brett this year?
Michelle starts her sophmore year tomorrow! Hard to believe she is that old already, though she took driver's ed this summer.
I gather Mary has mailed some quilts back to you. I sure hope you post them when you get them. You both do such beautiful work. Have you seen Moda's Green Piece BOM? The shop I work at has started making the sample and the pieced blocks are beautiful. When the wool comes in, we will start the applique work.

Hope you keep up the posting, always enjoy hearing from you.

Isn't the beginning of school grand? It's like a new beginning for everyone. Good luck with your list!

oh thank goodness two new members are of the 4 legged kind and not twins :)
ok maybe twins would be fun but now that Thomas is in kindergarten you are going to love having that block of time to yourself!
Can't wait to see what you work on
School is in full swing starting Tuesday I am looking forward to it too!
