First, I went shopping in Trier with a neighbor. We had a good time until the last shop we went into. I paid for my items and put my wallet in my purse and left. Only to get to the next place to get a pastry and found my wallet was gone. Yes, I got pick pocketed! I've been to many places in Europe and the States with no problem. We went back to the shop and asked them and they remember me putting it into my purse, as do I. When we started leaving the shop, which is a narrow home decor shop, there was a couple that split up around me. The Husband was walking ever so slowly in front of my and the wife was behind me. I had bought some long leaves, which were wrapped in plastic for a vase, and had them in my hands trying to make sure to not break anything or hit anyone. It was only about 5-10 minutes later that my wallet was gone. So now, I'm having the fun of waiting for new cards, id, licence, etc.
Next thing was Kindergarten started on Tuesday for my youngest, Thomas. Got him on the bus and came in to get to work. Tried to vacuum the den and pulled my back. So for the past week, I've been laying on a heating pad to get my back better. I had so many plans for the week to get done while being home by myself. Nada got done.
Needless to say, nothing quilting, knitting, or fun to post pics of. I will hopefully get to things this week. Let's hope it's a better week.

I'm so very sorry about your wallet. My oldest daughter had her's stolen out of my car when we were at a funeral. They broke out the windows of the car to get it and it was hidden under the passenger seat and out of sight. The police said this is very common bz most women will hide their purses there even if they're driving the car and at a funeral the thieves know most women will leave the purse in the car. She was devastated and has had so much trouble with identity theft. It's been four years and still now and again they take out a new credit card on her account. She has a fraud alert on her SS# but they still get away with it sometimes. My second daughter was mad that I made her buy a purse with a zipper when she got her lisence about nine months ago. She's thanked me since as it's been knocked over, etc, and her things have stayed intact instead of spilling out like her friends do. I wish you luck on your back too. It certainly has been a painful week for you.
Chelle, I hope you have a better time this week! Don't worry about not getting anything done, when your back gets better you'll catch up!
Hey girl! I know you had to of been just ill! Now you have all that extra hassle of replacing everything too...especially there! Eek! Hopefully the base won't give too many hassles. Then to have your back out....dang girl...I was waiting to see some binding on those quilts! Wishing you well and a better week coming up! Haven't heard from you in a long time...write me!
Dana, what a horrible way to spend a week. Do you have one of those credit reporting e-mails? I get something anytime my accounts have any activity.
I understand about the thrill of your child starting school (for you the second one)and having your house to yourself, even if only for a few hours. Sorry it will have to be delayed. Hope the heating pad works and you get enough rest that you heal quickly. Do you have any books to read, recorded shows that never got watched? Is DH there to help?
In rereading my comment it almost sounds as if I was chastizing you. I really wasn't but I was feeling/sharing your pain. I hope you're feeling better today.
Goodness, hope your back is better! And to read you were pick pocketed is just terrible. Hope all went well for Thomas on the occasion of his first day at kindergarten.
Warm, Happy thoughts, *karendianne.
Dana - so sorry to hear that something like this has happened to you! It is so unexpected in Germany -- but I guess crime is everywhere. Hope this week goes better for you. Have missed seeing your gorgeous handiwork!
Oh boy that must have been very scarey! But so glad to read you didn't get hurt. You're in Germany???? That's the one and ONLY place I would LOVE to visit. I never leave my little farm because I have lots of critters to take care of but for Germany, I just might have to find a care taker for my babies, lol!
You visited my blog recently and commented on a needle punch santa I did. It's my own design and just a doodle on a piece of paper but I would be happy to scan it and email it to you. Just let me know.
Prim Blessings,
Marte
